The Shops at Wailea – Wailea, Hawaii

The Shops at Wailea is the island’s premier shopping and dining destination, home to a unique range of boutiques, shops, restaurants and galleries. Working with the entire development team, RSM Design created a new brand and logo design for the retail center in Hawaii that is inspired by the brand’s narrative of Hawaiian traditions. The brand visioning and logo development process was enriched by working closely with a Hawaiian cultural historian, inspiring a multi-layered logo mark that resembled a koa leaf and a canoe shape with hand-carved texture. RSM Design continued to expand the brand palette through patterns and colors informed by the narrative and brand principles, and later translated into the signage and environmental graphic design. The brand and logo design as well as environmental graphics also express the feeling of a refined and luxurious aesthetic which works to elevate the retail property.
